So if you’re here you probably know this but Twenty One Pilots is a due from Columbus, Ohio. Its two members are the two best friends Tyler Joseph and Joshua Dun.

Twenty One Pilots was formed in 2009 by Tyler Joseph (singer) and his two friends Nick Thomas (guitarist) and Chris Salih (drummer). They released their debut, self-titled album ,,Twenty One Pilots” December 29th, 2009 and began touring in Ohio.

On May 8th, 2001 Chris left the band, followed by Nick only a month later on June 3rd. Before he left Salih introduced Tyler to his friend, Josh Dun, who could play the drums. Dun was impressed by the band’s sound and Joseph’s dreams and decided to quit his job as a drummer with ,,House of Heroes” to work with Tyler. They released their second album ,,Regional At Best” July 8th, 2011.

In 2012 Twenty One Pilots got signed by the major record label ,,Fueled By Ramen” and went on a short tour with two other bands. Their third album ,,Vessel” was released January 8th, 2013 and it reached number 21 on the ,,Billboard 200”. Later they went on tour with Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco.

After their third album the fame and success of the band just kept growing until their hit single ,,Stressed Out” broke every record after it’s release. It reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 1 on both Alternative Songs and Hot Rock Songs, while also hitting one billion views on YouTube.

Their fourth studio album ,,Blurryface” was released on May 17th 2015 and sold 134, 000 copies making it the bands first No.1 album on the Billboard 200.

On February 12th, 2017 Twenty One Pilots won a Grammy for ,,Stressed Out”. Tyler and Josh went on stage wearing only their underwear to keep a promise they made in the early days of the band.
